Our story
The shop Salinas drivers keep coming back to
West Market Auto Body sits on East Market Street in Salinas, and it is run the way a body shop should be: Martin looks at the car himself, tells you what it will cost and how long it will take, and then does exactly that.
Our work is judged on the finish. We blend paint until the repair disappears into the panel next to it — including manufacturer-specific colors that other shops send away. Dent work, collision damage, refinishing, and a full interior detail before the keys go back in your hand.
We work with insurance claims and with people paying out of pocket, and the quote is the same either way. Customers tell us they came here after being quoted higher somewhere else — and then they send their friends and family.
- Owner Martin inspects and estimates every job personally
- Paint blended and color-matched to factory codes
- Interior detail included before the car goes back
- Transparent pricing whether or not insurance is involved
What customers say
“I just got my car fixed here and when I say fixed it means FIXED. Martin took about 2 weeks and a half, but gave us back a better looking car than originally before the accident. He detailed the inside as well and blended more than what was needed. Exceptional work! Highly recommend his shop!”
“He quoted my car's damages and I was satisfied with the quote price; took my car in. Once repair was complete it looked like a whole new car — they went beyond my expectations. He is the most humble and honest man in town.”
“Quality workmanship every time, which for me has been several occasions. Dent repair craftsmanship is amazing, and the paint match blending is superior! Detailing service is remarkable! All work is done in a timely manner, good as new!”
